Digital ColorStop
Digital ColorStop is the digital version of ColorStop used for designs with realistic imagery, color gradients, and/or a high color amount.
Digital ColorStop protects the print with an extra blocking layer, which minimizes the risk of bleed-through/color migration from the fabric. The layer is placed underneath the print, comprising a barrier against the fabric’s underlying colors and minimizing the risk of discoloration.

Information
Bleed-through/color migration happens when colors from polyester fibers penetrate the fabric and enter the print. Excessive heat during application is the most common cause of this. How quickly a fabric is penetrated varies greatly. In some cases, the effect will be visible after a few hours; in others not until after several months.
Digital ColorStop is especially recommended for black, dark blue, or red fabrics, as dark colors are more prone to migration.
There isn’t much of a common thread to when bleed-through should be anticipated. Clothing, fabric, and textile quality and resistance vary greatly not just fromcountry to country but from company to company — and there is no guarantee of large companies delivering better quality than small ones. It is therefore always recommended to test for migration when goods are received from new sources.
Note that the instructions are applicable to our transfers, but not necessarily to the fabrics they are printed on. Make therefore sure to always treat the product in accordance with the least forgiving instructions. For example: If your jacket with a ColorStop transfer can be washed at no more than 30 °C, you should wash according to the jacket’s instructions.
Digital Colorstop has been thoroughly tested by industrial launderers to determine tolerable washing thresholds.
