Information

Workers who may be subject to flames or extreme heat must be equipped with appropriately certified workwear. When embellished with logos or other serigraphy, these prints must be identically certified.

The ISO 11612 standard analyzes clothing, fabric, and textiles’ protective capabilities when exposed to heat and flames. To pass the supplementary test method ISO 15025 Procedure A — method of test for limited flame spread, a submitted sample material must be exposed to an open flame for a duration of 10 seconds. Subsequently, the fire must extinguish within 2 seconds and not leave a hole larger than 5 mm in diameter. Jet Sport’s FlameStop transfer has undergone and passed this test in an officially certified ILAC-MRA laboratory.

By way of optimal balancing of thermal stability, thermal resistivity, and thermic isolation, Jet Sport’s flame-retardant inks have been developed to equip logos with strong and lasting protection against fire and flames. Before the transfer foil is printed, the colors are applied a unique chemical blend that gives them their flame-retardant traits.

FlameStop transfer does not make logos fireproof but inhibits flames and limits their spread.

Note that the instructions are applicable to our transfers, but not necessarily to the fabrics they are printed on. Make therefore sure to always treat the product in accordance with the least forgiving instructions. For example: If your jacket with a ColorStop transfer can be washed at no more than 30 °C, you should wash according to the jacket’s instructions.

FlameStop has been thoroughly tested by industrial launderers to determine tolerable washing thresholds.
